GTA V Actor Ned Luke Defends Rockstar and Responds to GTA VI Criticism

Not all players are satisfied with the presentation of the new installment in the franchise.

Late in August, the “Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Showcase” presentation took place. Rockstar Games demonstrated the version for the PlayStation 5 console, showing several missions and various gameplay moments.

Far from all players were impressed by what they saw, and online users actively criticized the developers. Questions have been raised regarding the creative vision: some male players are concerned about the “improper” representation of Jason, claiming the protagonist is weak and subservient to Lucia. Others see no progress and believe GTA VI is very similar to GTA V.

Ned Luke, the actor who played Michael in GTA V, noticed the online discussion and decided to speak out. He disagrees with this assessment from critical players:

This looks nothing like Grand Theft Auto V. I think they’ve lost their minds.

Ned Luke also playfully praised the graphics of GTA VI. Pointing to an image of Jason, he said: “I’ll tell you one thing: I never looked that good.”

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Nothing has been announced yet regarding the release window for the PC version.
