Obsidian Entertainment is bringing its miniaturized survival hit, Grounded 2, to PlayStation 5. The title is scheduled to arrive on Sony’s console on August 11, marking a significant expansion for the backyard adventure. To celebrate the cross-platform release, developers are rolling out a substantial aquatic-themed content update titled “Into The Abyss,” which will launch simultaneously across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Since its initial Early Access launch on PC and Xbox in July of last year, Grounded 2 has captivated players with its blend of exploration and high-stakes survival within the dense foliage of Brookhollow Park. While the game continues to evolve toward its eventual 1.0 release, the upcoming “Into The Abyss” update promises to submerge players in a new environment, with teasers suggesting a journey into the treacherous, uncharted depths of a backyard puddle.
