Genshin Impact ‘Slims Down’ on PC — miHoYo Optimizes Files and Introduces Various Improvements
The game has slimmed down thanks to a redesigned file structure.
Genshin Impact developers have released patch 6.2, “Luna III. Song of the Hollow Moon: Interlude — Nocturne of the Far North,” introducing new content and technical fixes.
The voice-over file structure on PC has been reorganized, reducing the game’s disk footprint:
After the update, if only a single voice language is selected, the installation size is expected to be roughly 4–8 GB smaller compared to the “Luna II” release.
There are gameplay changes as well, for example:
- Hotkey support has been added for certain buttons within the Serenitea Pot editing interface,
- Characters can now deal damage to the Experimental Field Generator during the brief animation when the kinetic field generator deploys its gravity-reducing field.
