Genshin Impact Players Report Visual Glitches in Snezhnaya After Version 7.0 Update as miHoYo Releases First Fixes

Developers are fixing the game following the installation of a major update.

In August, the Genshin Impact developers introduced update 7.0, “Relentless Frost.” Soon after, players began reporting technical issues.

miHoYo (HoYoverse) responded to the feedback and rolled out the first batch of fixes.

For instance, the developers fixed an issue where the spawn density of eternal ice creations in certain areas of Snezhnaya was “abnormally high.”

In the Archon Quest “Relentless Frost,” during the step “Use eternal ice creations to raise the door,” a destructible piece of eternal ice was added so it can be broken repeatedly. The game creators explained that this fixes an issue where, in certain cases, no eternal ice was left in the quest area to destroy, making it impossible to fill the eternal ice meter and continue the quest.

The Genshin Impact developers noted that on PCs with Intel Iris Xe series graphics cards, screen flickering may occur when entering the territory of Snezhnaya. Players encountering this issue are recommended to install the latest graphics card driver version and restart their device. Afterward, the image should display correctly.

Other known issues that are promised to be fixed “in one of the upcoming updates”:

  • In the cutscene for the Archon Quest “Nocturne of the Dead Souls,” Miti’s element icon is displayed incorrectly (it should show “Star Wedge: Electro”).
  • On certain Android devices, incorrect patterns may appear on the faces of Sandrone and Miti during specific dialogue sequences in the Archon Quests “Relentless Frost” and “Nocturne of the Dead Souls.”
