Gal Gadot’s “Heart of Stone” receives scathing reviews
International critics have delivered a harsh verdict on the action-thriller The Runner, featuring Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently holds a dismal 7% approval rating, while Metacritic has awarded it a mere 30 out of 100. Reviewers have largely criticized the film for its disjointed plot and lack of genuine suspense, offering only occasional praise for Gadot’s physical commitment to the role.
The narrative follows Maya, a lawyer whose morning jog takes a terrifying turn when she receives word that her son, Noah, has been abducted. Maya is given a frantic one-hour window to traverse London and save her child, all while strictly adhering to the kidnapper’s mysterious demands. The film also features Damian Lewis (Homeland) and was helmed by director Kevin Macdonald (Black Sea).
The Runner arrived in Russian cinemas on September 3rd, distributed by Volga.
