Sylvester Stallone Wrote the Script for “Rocky 7”
Sylvester Stallone has finished a script for a possible follow-up to “Rocky,” though he hasn’t confirmed that the film will go into production. In an interview with TV Insider, the actor admitted he wrote the story for himself and isn’t sure it will appeal to audiences.
In Stallone’s vision, an older Rocky Balboa leaves boxing behind and devotes himself to helping people in need. The new script would explore Rocky’s life outside the ring. He finds himself facing a changing world and realizes that his old neighborhood is no longer what it once was. As a result, Balboa decides to dedicate himself to supporting people who are going through hard times.
The actor also said he would like to make a prequel about young characters, set in the 1960s. Both projects remain at the idea stage for now, with no filming dates, approved production or release timeline.
“Rocky Is Me” will be released in Russian cinemas on November 19.
