Funcom Announces Dune: Awakening Server Merge and Chapter 3 Updates
Funcom has published a new developer update for the game. The team had earlier announced a tool for restoring bases.
The studio is refining that tool based on player feedback; it will take some time and is planned for the next update.
The developers clarified how server merges and character transfers will be handled.
As the merge date nears, empty and sparsely populated worlds will be flagged for closure. Players will be able to relocate to a chosen world and sietch, retaining their bases, items, and vehicles.
If data cannot be migrated in time, players will be allowed to transfer it later via the main menu.
A cargo container for the transport ornithopter will be added in the coming weeks.
It will make transporting large quantities of resources significantly easier.
Chapter 3 will introduce new progression paths, unexplored locations, and dynamic difficulty adjustments.
You can expect a continuation of the main storyline along with many other additions.
More details will be revealed in December.
