Online reports indicate that principal photography for the third installment of the Dune trilogy has concluded. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas on December 18, 2026.
Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Anya Taylor-Joy and others are expected to reprise their roles. The antagonist will be portrayed by Robert Pattinson, and Denis Villeneuve returns as director.
The story of Dune 3 will take place twelve years after the events of the second film and will follow Paul Atreides’ (Chalamet) rule. The adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel premiered in theaters in 2021, with the sequel arriving in 2023. Together, the two films have earned roughly $1.1 billion worldwide.
