Kate O’Flynn, star of the Apple TV+ horror-comedy Widow’s Bay, has provided an update regarding the production timeline for the show’s sophomore season. The actress noted that filming for the new episodes is expected to commence around March 2027. This follows confirmation from series creator Katie Dippold, who previously revealed that the writers’ room is already hard at work on the upcoming installment.

Widow’s Bay follows Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys), the mayor of a secluded island town struggling to bolster the local economy by attracting tourism. Complicating matters, the local populace remains firmly convinced that the island is afflicted by an ancient curse. Kate O’Flynn stars alongside Rhys as the mayor’s dedicated right-hand woman, Patricia Moyer.

The series was officially renewed for a second season on June 11, ahead of its freshman season finale. While Dippold has kept specific plot points under wraps, she has teased that the new season will explore previously unseen corners of the island, bringing with them a host of fresh, looming threats.

An official premiere date for the second season has yet to be announced.
