Filming for the final Fast & Furious movie begins in December
Fast & Furious franchise lead Vin Diesel has confirmed the production timeline for the eleventh and final chapter of the long-running saga.
According to Diesel, cameras are set to roll on Fast Forever this coming December.
“We begin principal photography in December, provided I can satisfy the studio’s demands. But I’m in my element. It took four different screenwriters and four years of development to craft something that I truly believe serves as a worthy finale. When I finally read the script a couple of weeks ago, I was moved to tears,”
— Diesel revealed during a special 25th-anniversary screening of the original film.
Louis Leterrier (Fast X, The Last House on the Left) is slated to direct Fast Forever. Interestingly, the filmmaker recently noted that he has yet to receive the script for the project.
The franchise has amassed a staggering $7.3 billion at the global box office. Fast Forever is scheduled to premiere in theaters on March 17, 2028.
