Fantasy Papers, Please-style game Lil Guardsman coming to smartphones in November
The castle gate work simulator holds a 93% positive user rating on Steam.
Plug In Digital is preparing a mobile version of Lil’ Guardsman. According to App Store information, the port will launch on November 10, 2026. The project will also be available on Google Play, where pre-registration is already open.
Players step into the role of Lil, a 12-year-old girl who fills in for her father at the castle guard post. The novice guard must interrogate more than a hundred fully voiced characters—ranging from humans and elves to goblins and cyclopes—and decide who to let into the city.
Various tools that can be upgraded with gold will help her accomplish this. For instance, Lil has access to the Chronometer 3000, which allows players to rewind time and reconsider a decision. Careful choices are required, as player actions affect relations between neighboring states, the outcome of the royal wedding, the subsequent siege, and the fates of the city residents.

Lil’ Guardsman was released on PC and consoles in January 2024. On Steam, it holds a 93% positive rating based on nearly 1,200 reviews.
