He also singled out Fallout 76’s renewed momentum, noting that the series’ resurgence has shaped some design choices. One example he mentioned is the inclusion of characters inspired by the show, such as The Ghoul—highlighting the idea that familiar faces from the TV world could plausibly exist somewhere across the wasteland in the games.
Todd Howard praised Obsidian and said he invited the Fallout: New Vegas developers to the set of Season 2 to revisit the iconic locations they created.
