Fallout and Wasteland veteran calls his time‑hopping RPG Clockwork Revolution “the most complex game I’ve ever worked on” and teases we’ve only seen “a tiny glimpse”

Clockwork Revolution does not yet have an official release date, but Fargo reassured fans it will arrive “in due time.” When ready, the game will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and will be available on Game Pass.

inXile’s previous major release was 2020’s Wasteland 3 — a title that combined sharp black comedy with reactive RPG design. Elements like Polly, the profane mutant parrot, linger in the memory, and that sense of amplified irreverence appears dialled up in Clockwork Revolution.

Veteran CRPG developer with 43 years on Fallout and Wasteland credits says his studio “wouldn’t be here” without a $2.9m Kickstarter Hail Mary — a campaign that helped bring Clockwork Revolution to life.
