Bethesda has confirmed an Anniversary Edition of Fallout 4, and it’s now been revealed the game will also arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2. An early comparison with the PS5 Pro version has surfaced online.
Fans of the post-apocalyptic franchise have another reason to celebrate. In November, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition — a complete release including all DLC and Creation Club content — will launch on major platforms. In December, Amazon Prime Video viewers will get the second season of the Fallout TV series.
However, a new numbered entry in the franchise is still some way off. In recent years Bethesda concentrated on Starfield, which is reportedly slated to arrive on PS5 in 2026. After that the studio is expected to move on to The Elder Scrolls VI. Many anticipate Fallout 5 will be the company’s next major project.
Until then, attention will be on Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2. The release is planned for 2026, and the first footage already hints at the quality of the port. The short teaser reveals differences in color grading, lighting and smoothness — the version for Nintendo’s new console appears convincing.
For fans, it’s an opportunity to experience the cult classic in a portable format.
