Game Radio
The 1.60 update introduces Game Radio, an overhauled audio system designed to elevate the immersion of every haul. Rather than a static playlist, you can now tune into five distinct stations—Rust FM, Escape, PUMP IT!, Pop Gear, and Roadio—each offering a curated soundscape ranging from rock and Americana to lo-fi and electronic beats. For content creators, the “Escape” station is specifically curated to be stream-safe.
You can manage your listening experience via the new in-game widget, which displays track and artist info. Simply use the Widget Options menu (F6) to customize the layout. Check out our dedicated blog post for more on this feature.
Improved Material System
Visual fidelity takes a massive leap forward with our new Material System. By utilizing advanced dynamic cubemaps, we have significantly enhanced how light interacts with cabin interiors. Materials like leather, brushed metal, and fabric now react to environmental lighting with stunning realism, even in low-light scenarios.
The DAF NGD and MAN TG3 TGX are the first to receive these enhancements, with more of the fleet to follow in upcoming patches. Read more about the technical details on our official blog.
Refined Lighting & Volvo FH Series 6
We’ve implemented subtle tweaks to global lighting, focusing on exposure and contrast balance to ensure a more consistent, professional look during diverse weather conditions.
Additionally, the Volvo FH Series 6 has received a significant update. Truckers can now equip new aerodynamic roof deflectors and distinctive black A-Pillar trim, mirroring the latest real-world innovations from Volvo to optimize airflow and efficiency.
Enhanced Gameplay Tools
The 1.60 update introduces two major quality-of-life additions:
- Job Details Widget: Access essential delivery data—including cargo weight, destination, and income—directly on your HUD via the F6 menu. Your GPS now also provides clearer estimates for arrival times and remaining travel distance.
- Expanded Rest Mechanic: Tired of forced sleep durations? You now have full control over when you wake up. We’ve also split the fatigue system into “Rest State” (gradual depletion) and “Mandatory Break” (strict legal compliance), offering a deeper layer of simulation for long-haul drivers.
