The developers have come up with several new challenges for virtual drivers.
The team behind the long-haul driving simulator Euro Truck Simulator 2 is preparing the 1.57 update. Alongside it, the Special Transport add-on will receive a complimentary expansion.
ETS 2 will introduce fresh special transports: players will have the opportunity to haul a 30-meter giant wind-turbine blade — carried on a purpose-built semi-trailer that lacks a front axle.
The developers also showcased another load — an underground loader, a heavy-duty machine designed for demanding mining tasks. It will be transported on a bespoke 6-axle low-loader trailer, with every axle steerable to allow tight manoeuvres on the narrowest roads. The trailer is 25 meters long, and together with the cargo it will weigh roughly 72 tonnes. According to the developers, this is one of the trickiest contracts in the game.
