Emmy 2026 Winners Announced

The 78th Emmy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles, with the series “Widow’s Cove” emerging as the night’s big winner, securing six prestigious trophies.

The Television Academy honored the Apple TV production, centered on a mysterious island, with the award for Outstanding Comedy Series. “Widow’s Cove” also swept categories for Lead Actor (Matthew Rhys), Supporting Roles, Directing, and Writing. Rhys made history that evening as the first performer to claim two major acting Emmys in a single night, having also won for his role in the limited series “The Beast Within Me.”

Legendary “Back to the Future” star Michael J. Fox was presented with the honorary Humanitarian Emmy in recognition of his tireless advocacy and fundraising for Parkinson’s disease research. Last year, Fox made a celebrated return to acting, appearing alongside Harrison Ford in the series “Shrinking.”
