On November 11, 2025, during Sony’s Japan-focused State of Play, FromSoftware announced The Forsaken Hollows — a new DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign slated to launch on December 4, 2025.
The expansion introduces two playable archetypes: the Scholar, which leans into arcane power and spellcasting, and the Undertaker, a sturdier build centered on strength and faith.
FromSoftware has released only limited details so far. The PlayStation Blog summarizes the announcement, writing that “players will confront two new bosses tormenting Limveld.” Read the full PlayStation Blog post for the original announcement.

The PlayStation Blog also references “The Great Hollow,” describing it as “a great cavity in the depths of Limveld,” suggesting at least one major new location for the expansion.
