Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Exists, But Release Delayed for Several Years — Insider

Since the second installment launched in 2016, Bandai Namco and developer Dimps have continually supported the title with new characters, transformations, story chapters, and other additions. It stands as one of the most extensively supported projects in the Dragon Ball universe, so it’s hardly surprising that fans are clamoring for a sequel — Xenoverse 3.

According to insider cliffeur, the third entry is indeed in development. He says the information came from a “reliable source in Japan.” The project is reportedly at an advanced stage, but internal complications have slowed its progress. Rumors claim a playable build exists, yet a release may not occur until 2027 or 2028.

Leaks also indicate Xenoverse 3 will feature refreshed cel-shading and a redesigned combat system. The insider cautions that an official reveal is premature — the title is not expected to appear at Genkidamatsuri or at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026. While these details remain unconfirmed, an increasing number of sources point to Xenoverse 3 being real.
