According to insider cliffeur, the third entry is indeed in development. He says the information came from a “reliable source in Japan.” The project is reportedly at an advanced stage, but internal complications have slowed its progress. Rumors claim a playable build exists, yet a release may not occur until 2027 or 2028.
Leaks also indicate Xenoverse 3 will feature refreshed cel-shading and a redesigned combat system. The insider cautions that an official reveal is premature — the title is not expected to appear at Genkidamatsuri or at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026.
