Disney Brings Percy Jackson to Netflix Ahead of Season 3 Premiere
Since the show debuted in 2023, Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been exclusively available on Disney+. Disney is changing that approach to attract new audiences before the upcoming third season. Viewers will soon have the chance to watch the series on another streaming platform for a limited time.
As reported by Variety, a new content licensing agreement brings several movies and television shows from the Disney catalog to Netflix. The headliner of the group is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The first two seasons, which adapt Rick Riordan’s novels The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters, will be available to all Netflix subscribers beginning on Oct. 4. The show will remain on Netflix for a three-month promotional window ahead of the season 3 premiere on Nov. 20.
Additionally, all the Ice Age movies will stream on Netflix starting on the same day as Percy Jackson in preparation for the release of Ice Age: Boiling Point in February 2027. Other catalog titles coming to Netflix include Will Trent, Soul, Elio, Revenge, and Fresh Off the Boat.

What we know about Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3
Season 3 adapts the third book in Riordan’s series, The Titan’s Curse. This marks new territory for the television adaptation. The first two books were previously adapted into feature films by 20th Century Fox, whereas the third book receives its first screen adaptation through Disney. The story follows Percy on a quest to track down Annabeth and the missing goddess Artemis. It also introduces the di Angelo siblings, characters who play a major role in the rest of the series.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri reprise their roles as Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. They are joined by newcomers Levi Chrisopulos as Nico di Angelo and Olive Abercrombie as his sister, Bianca. The divine pantheon expands further with Dafne Keen as Artemis, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen as Hera, Jennifer Beals as Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo. Disney has not yet officially renewed the series for a fourth season.
