Dimension 20 Announces Toy Story-Inspired Campaign Toy Light

The Intrepid Heroes return as toys in the upcoming season of Dimension 20. On Wednesday, Dropout released the first trailer for Toylight, a six-episode adventure that premieres next month.

In Dimension 20: Toylight, series regulars Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson play toys fighting against the enchanted Toylight, described as the last flicker of a dying child’s imagination. The trailer introduces the main characters, including Wilson as the ax-wielding Lion in a leotard Wyon, Axford as the buff baby Cutie Pie, and Oyama as the toy soldier Tinsley.

The set and game board rank among the most colorful and creative designs in the history of Dimension 20, transforming classic children’s toys and wooden blocks into a battlefield. Many of the miniatures wield spears, such as the thimbles controlled by Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan. “I’m gonna put my drumstick up their asses!” he has a thimble say at one point.

Dimension 20: Toylight was teased last month with a trailer dubbed “Playtime Is Over.” One YouTube commenter described the teaser as Toy Story mixed with Dunkirk.

Following Gladlands and City Council of Darkness, Toylight marks the third Dimension 20 season released in 2026. Like Gladlands, it spans six episodes. It premieres on Dropout on Sept. 16, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday.

The year 2026 has brought significant changes for the comedy streaming service. Dropout added original and licensed animation, ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for a Game Changer at-home game, added a puppet show, and released its flagship series Game Changer on disc. Dropout CEO Sam Reich spoke about this wave of experiments in an interview with Polygon, stating, “We have to experiment and be comfortable with a bit of failure in order to innovate.”
