Digital Eclipse Unveils New Toy Story Collections: Retro Classics and a Remastered Adventure

As we approach the 30th anniversary of the original Toy Story film in 2026, fans have more to celebrate than just the upcoming Toy Story 5. For those eager to revisit the nostalgic charm of Woody, Buzz, and the gang, Digital Eclipse—the masters of preservation behind Atari 50 and the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection—has announced two exciting new projects.

Toy Story: Retro Roundup

The first collection, Toy Story: Retro Roundup, serves as a definitive anthology of the iconic titles that defined the franchise in the late 90s and early 2000s. This bundle is packed with beloved classics, including a surprise inclusion:

• Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999)
• Toy Story 2 (1999)
• Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000)
• Toy Story Racer (2001)
• A Bug’s Life (1998)

These titles arrive with modern quality-of-life enhancements, allowing players to toggle between original visuals and updated, high-resolution graphics. Digital Eclipse has also integrated their signature suite of features, including instant rewinding, save states, and comprehensive practice modes with guided tutorials. Additionally, players can utilize “Rex’s Cheat Codes” to effortlessly unlock characters, invincibility, infinite lives, and hidden modes.
