If you’ve joined any major multiplayer releases before, a queue won’t be unfamiliar. The practical advice remains the same: join the queue and wait. Restarting the game usually slows you down; it’s often best to remain patient and let the queue progress.

As launch activity ramps up, many players are still waiting on unpacking and installation to finish. Battlefield 6 shipped with a large day-one patch and the base install is sizable, so queue position will also depend on who can complete setup and reach the login screen first.

Our Battlefield 6 review describes DICE’s latest as a polished return to form. It’s earned one of the studio’s strongest Metacritic showings in years, even if it doesn’t quite eclipse classics like Battlefield 3.
