Developers Working on Fixes After Player Complaints About Monster in Silent Hill Townfall
For some players, The Weight proved too heavy to bear.
Screen Burn is preparing balance changes for Silent Hill: Townfall following complaints about the enemy known as The Weight. The developers promise to release an update as soon as possible, though they have not yet specified what exactly will change:
“We have heard your complaints about the difficulties with The Weight — balance changes will arrive as soon as possible.”

The Weight pursues Simon Ordell and kills the hero instantly if it catches him, making combat impossible and forcing players to hide. Players are unhappy that the detection rules are not always clear and that the enemy can linger near hiding spots for a long time, preventing them from progressing.
Meanwhile, patch 1.3.1 has already been released on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It reduces stuttering related to shader compilation.
