Developers of Final Fantasy VII Revelation Want Players to Complete the Game Multiple Times
A single playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Revelation will not be enough to see all the content prepared by Square Enix, according to Director Naoki Hamaguchi.
During a presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2026, Hamaguchi shared that a single playthrough will offer roughly the same amount of content as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. At the same time, the final installment of the trilogy will feature many elements that cannot be seen or completed in one go.
Repeated playthroughs may unlock new quests, action options, and rewards. Hamaguchi did not specify how the system will work or what portion of the content will remain hidden.
In Revelation, the entire party will be gathered together, and players will receive the opportunity to explore the world of Final Fantasy VII on a larger scale. It was previously reported that the game might take up about 200 GB of disk space.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be released on April 8, 2027.
