These days it seems anything can be adapted into a game — from films and comics to internet memes. The latest example is a title built around one of the most recognisable images of the past decade.
Only someone who’s spent the last few years completely offline would have missed the meme of the dog calmly sipping coffee while the house burns — This is Fine. That scene is now being expanded into a full game called This is Fine: Maximum Cope. Players will take control of the dog and journey through five distinct worlds that embody human emotions such as fear, loneliness, and more.
The developers promise brisk, engaging gameplay, a sharp sense of humour, and hand-drawn 2D artwork by KC Green, the creator of the original comic that spawned the meme.
The game is slated for release in March 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The first trailer is already available, and a demo can be downloaded on Steam.
