Dark Fantasy Action-RPG in the Style of Classic Diablo Launches on Steam
Indie developer OO Cat has released its dark fantasy action RPG Shadow Dungeon on PC via Steam, featuring an extensive campaign and millions of potential loot drops.
According to the developers, the game’s retro visual presentation draws inspiration from classic role-playing games of the late 1990s. Players create a custom character by choosing one of four distinct classes: Paladin, Ranger, an element-wielding Mage, or Necromancer.
Shadow Dungeon features more than 100 levels throughout its main campaign, providing an estimated 30 to 50 hours of gameplay. The studio also emphasized the scale of the game’s item system:
Over 100,000,000 equipment items are available in the game. Meticulously designed legendary and mythical items make up more than half of all loot. By combining weapons and skills, you can craft your own hybrid builds and discover your ideal playstyle.
The team clarified that these 100 million variants are semi-randomly generated from 3,200 base item templates.

Shadow Dungeon is available on Steam with a playable demo. A launch discount remains active until September 9.
