
Even though Night City is a cutthroat, capitalist dystopia where everyone looks out for themselves (and their wallets), Cyberpunk 2077 eventually lets you indulge in that fantasy. Upgrading to sleeker cars and bigger apartments is part of progression — but Sasko is right: by the time Johnny Silverhand’s rebel rhetoric starts echoing in your head, the main story has stopped being a rags-to-riches arc. Ultimately, no amount of credits can buy back what you’ve lost.
