Following a successful two-month journey, the #CruisingNordicHorizons event officially concluded this past Sunday. We want to express our deepest gratitude to the 113,728 truckers who participated in this adventure. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the incredible milestones you achieved during the event.
Before we dive into the statistics, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated development team. Their hard work behind the scenes brought this event to life, and we know our incredible community appreciates the passion they pour into every project.
As is tradition with our major map expansions, we celebrated the launch of the Nordic Horizons DLC with a dedicated World of Trucks event. The community was challenged to cover a collective distance of 300,000,000 kilometers by delivering cargo to and from cities within the new expansion. Individually, drivers were tasked with completing 18 contracts, ensuring they visited six unique cities across Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
To say you exceeded expectations would be an understatement—you absolutely shattered them. The community goal was surpassed in less than two weeks. By the time the event wrapped up, the total distance driven had reached a staggering 702,446,695 kilometers, more than double the original target.
Furthermore, 57,397 dedicated truckers completed their personal challenges. These drivers can now showcase their exclusive rewards: the “Northern Tides” custom paint job, the “Viking Helmet” dashboard accessory, and a prestigious World of Trucks achievement. It is now time to explore the far north in style with your newly earned gear.
If you didn’t quite make it to the finish line this time, don’t worry. The true reward is the journey itself, and we hope you continue to find joy in hauling cargo across these breathtaking northern landscapes.
