Coyote vs. Acme Gets Streaming Release Date

Coyote vs. ACME continues its comeback. Warner Bros. Discovery shelved the animated and live-action hybrid film in 2023 for a tax write-off. Warner Bros. later reversed course after widespread backlash and allowed filmmakers to seek other distributors. Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights to Coyote vs. ACME in March 2025 for $50 million. The movie debuted in theaters on Aug. 28, 2026, earning critical praise while grossing $80 million worldwide.

Coyote vs. ACME will arrive on digital platforms including Amazon Prime Video on Sept. 29, 2026, at midnight EDT. Pre-orders are available for $24.99 on Prime Video and Apple TV.

What is Coyote vs. ACME about?

Coyote vs. ACME centers on Wile E. Coyote. After decades of failing to catch the Road Runner, he decides to sue the ACME Corporation for selling defective products. Personal injury lawyer Kevin Avery helps Coyote take the company to court. Critics note that the premise develops into a legal drama concerning corporate overreach, which parallels the real-world difficulties with Warner Bros.

Dave Green directed the film from a screenplay by Samy Burch. James Gunn and Jeremy Slater developed the story alongside Burch. Will Forte stars as Kevin Avery alongside Lana Condor, John Cena, and Luis Guzmán. Coyote vs. ACME follows 2025’s The Day the Earth Blew Up and 2021’s Space Jam: A New Legacy in the Looney Tunes film series.
