Cosplayer portrays Jinx from Arcane

Cosplayer Evgenia “Veila” Pashkova traveled to the realms of Runeterra to embody the notorious criminal Jinx from the animated series Arcane, a young woman who transformed irreversibly into a manic lunatic following a series of tragedies.

The animated series Arcane, which takes place in the universe of the MOBA League of Legends, has received widespread acclaim from professional critics, gamers, and general audiences alike.

Specifically for fans of the show, photographer Sasha Mifetis has published new photos. They feature cosplayer Evgenia “Veila” Pashkova portraying Jinx, a criminal from the underground city of Zaun.

Jinx’s look is instantly recognizable thanks to her bright blue hair. She has pale skin, and her body is decorated with neon blue cloud-shaped tattoos. As the story progresses, her once-gray eyes take on an unnatural, glowing pink-purple shade due to exposure to a dangerous chemical mutagen called Shimmer.

In clothing, she prefers a rebellious, slightly casual style with punk elements, wearing crop tops, leather pants, and belts hung with ammunition. Jinx’s personality is a blend of genius, childish spontaneity, and profound madness. She possesses an outstanding inventive mind and is capable of creating deadly weapons from any scrap material, though her psyche is completely shattered by severe post-traumatic stress disorder.

Jinx constantly suffers from hallucinations, hears the voices of fallen friends, and is prone to sudden outbursts of uncontrolled aggression. At the same time, a vulnerable little girl still lives inside her, desperately searching for love and acceptance while panically fearing rejection.

Interest in Jinx stems from the fact that she is not a classical villain, and her story is a psychological drama about trauma, loss of identity, and family tragedy.
