Cosplayer Brings Bayonetta to Life
Cosplayer Neo Geisha has stepped into the role of the Umbra Witch Bayonetta, capturing the heroine’s blend of magic and firearms used to fight the angels of Paradiso, recover her lost memories, and protect humanity.
Photographer Sasha Mifetis framed the shoot around the action-packed world of Bayonetta, a setting populated by angels, demons, and otherworldly threats.

Throughout the session, Neo Geisha embodies the franchise’s eccentric protagonist, capturing both the style and air of mystery that define the amnesiac witch.

Bayonetta, originally named Cereza, is the forbidden daughter of the Umbra Witch Rosa and the Lumen Sage Balder. Her visual design is recognizable by her tall silhouette, distinct proportions, and signature attire.

Her look features a skintight suit crafted from her own magical hair, paired with a set of four cherry-toned handguns equipped to both her hands and heels. Long red ribbons flow through her high hairstyle, while her glasses complete the character’s tailored appearance.

Bayonetta’s persona relies on unshakeable confidence, composure, and dry humor. She approaches combat against colossal angelic foes like a choreographed dance, regularly taunting her opponents during encounters.

Despite her guarded exterior and apparent self-absorption, her character reveals a protective side as she defends a young girl and comes to understand the significance of her lost past.
