Cooperative shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide temporarily free on Steam
Fatshark has launched a “Free Weekend” promotion to mark the Tide series’ tenth anniversary.
The cooperative shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is temporarily free to play on Steam. The offer runs until December 8 at 21:00 Moscow time and celebrates ten years of the Tide series.
Darktide serves as the spiritual successor to Vermintide 2, transporting the cooperative formula from a fantasy realm into the grim universe of Warhammer 40,000. Players step into the boots of convicted fighters from one of four classes, given a chance to redeem themselves by battling the legions of Chaos across the streets of the city Tercium.
Released in 2022, the game recently marked its third anniversary and received a substantial update that added a new map, an in-game event, and the Hive Scum class — the latter included in paid DLC.
In addition to the free weekend, Fatshark has put the game on sale: until December 11 it is discounted by 75% — priced at 687 ₽ instead of 2,749 ₽.
