As development on the upcoming Coaches DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 reaches new milestones, we are excited to unveil several bespoke vehicle systems designed specifically for this expansion. Let’s explore these new additions in detail.

Operating a coach requires an entirely different approach compared to long-haul trucking. To ensure an authentic and deeply immersive experience, we have engineered dedicated vehicle systems that capture the unique nuances of coach travel.
First, we have introduced a destination display panel, prominently positioned above the windshield. This accessory is fully removable, giving you complete control over your vehicle’s exterior configuration, and it remains visible from the driver’s seat. We have meticulously refined the typography, color profiles, and layout to ensure it remains legible and aesthetically pleasing across all available routes.

Given the expansive windshields on these coaches, managing glare is essential. To combat harsh sunlight, we have implemented functional, adjustable sun visors. These are split into independent left and right segments, allowing for precise positioning. These visors are fully realized with animated controls and integrated sound effects, visible from both inside and outside the cockpit.

Maneuvering a large vehicle in confined bus stations can be demanding, so we have integrated modern rear-view camera systems. The feed is displayed directly on your dashboard, toggling automatically from your navigation screen the moment you shift into reverse. This feature is invaluable when navigating tight stops and real-world loading scenarios.

Finally, we have overhauled the interior lighting to enhance both passenger comfort and cockpit utility. You can now toggle custom ambient lighting colors to set the mood, alongside a dedicated ceiling light for the main cabin—perfect for night-time boarding and disembarking.

We hope you are excited to get behind the wheel. Be sure to add the Coaches DLC to your Steam wishlist to stay updated on the launch. For more news and behind-the-scenes content, follow us on X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, and YouTube, or subscribe to our official newsletter.
