CDPR Denies Further Cyberpunk 2077 DLC but Remains Silent on The Witcher 3 as Fans Await New Ciri Adventures
Various industry insiders have long hinted at the possibility of a new expansion for The Witcher 3.
Recent reports regarding CD Projekt RED’s ambitious financial goals for the coming years have reignited fan speculation. Many believe the studio is planning additional content for its flagship titles, Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, to hit these revenue targets.
While hope was high, a representative from the Cyberpunk 2077 development team was quick to issue a formal denial regarding further expansions for the sci-fi RPG.
However, the situation surrounding The Witcher 3 remains conspicuously different. CD Projekt RED has been uncharacteristically silent regarding inquiries about a potential return to Geralt’s world. Given the persistent rumors of a Ciri-focused DLC, many players view this lack of a denial as a tacit confirmation that new content might indeed be in development.
