CD Projekt RED Announces The Witcher 4 Won’t Be at The Game Awards 2025
There is considerable anticipation surrounding The Witcher 4, but its precise release date and marketing approach have not yet been disclosed.
Many expected a showcase in early December, especially after last year’s Game Awards featured a trailer that hinted at the title’s potential. Expectations climbed throughout 2025, but Michał Nowakowski, co-CEO of CD Projekt RED, sought to reassure fans.
I’m delighted that The Witcher 4 has been nominated for “Most Anticipated Game” at The Game Awards. Thank you to everyone who has already voted — your support means a great deal to us. We won’t be revealing new content at this year’s TGA, but we’ll enjoy the gala and celebrate it with you.
The choice is sensible: the promotional campaign hasn’t begun, and GTA 6 is slated for release in 2026. Trying to vie directly for audience attention now would be an inefficient use of the budget.
