Capcom Drops Linear Level Design for Onimusha Way of the Sword with Semi-Open Areas and Side Quests
Capcom has revealed new details about Onimusha: Way of the Sword, confirming that the upcoming installment in the iconic series will go beyond familiar linear levels. Although the game will maintain a classic structure, players can expect more spacious locations featuring additional activities and optional content.
These new features came to light through an exclusive preview by PC Gamer. According to journalist Robert Jones, the full version of the game will feature significantly more open areas than those presented in the demo.

Game director Satoru Nihei also confirmed that players will encounter supporting characters, hidden bosses, and quests centered on the history of ancient Japan’s capital.
