The developers have removed the ability to aim and fire while jumping.
The latest patch for Battlefield 6 eliminated the option to perform aimed fire while airborne, and cancelling slides now sharply reduces speed and momentum.
Consequently, overall mobility and aggressive playstyles feel noticeably slower, particularly in close-quarters engagements and rapid rotations.
Some streamers and pro players — especially those who migrated from Call of Duty — have reacted very negatively. In chats and on streams, players joke that the patch has turned the game into “a camper simulator for battledad”.
Previously, Battlefield 6 received the winter-themed Winter Offensive update, which added a snow-covered version of the “Empire State” map, a freezing mechanic, and a limited-time 11-tier Battle Pass (available until December 29).
