Brotato Receives Major “New Dawn” Update with Ban System and New Weapon
Blobfish and Evil Empire continue to develop Brotato. The update is already live on PC and will be coming to consoles and mobile platforms soon.
The Brotato team has released their first major content update, named New Dawn.
The headline addition is a ban system that lets players exclude up to eight unwanted items from the shop during a run; weapons are not affected by bans.
Three separate save slots have also been introduced — a handy solution for players who like to test different strategies without losing progress. For example, you could unlock all characters and items in a run with achievements disabled, then pursue achievements in another slot.
The game now includes a Codex — an in-game compendium that records discovered items, weapons, and enemies along with their descriptions and stats.
Additionally, New Dawn brings six new items, one new weapon, a refined interface, and Steam support for Mac and Linux.
After two weeks of beta testing, the update is already available on PC; console and mobile versions are expected to arrive within a month.
