Blizzard Releases First New Warcraft III: Reforged Campaign in 20 Years Alongside Update
In recent years, new Warcraft III campaigns have been created by fans.
Rumors that developers plan to return to Warcraft III: Reforged were confirmed at BlizzCon 2026 in September. A new DLC campaign is releasing today for the real-time strategy game.
It is titled Forsaken Kingdom, and the developers have shared a gameplay trailer:
Forsaken Kingdom will offer players more than 30 hours of gameplay. The developers also announced that they have prepared an update with improvements for Warcraft III: Reforged, which is available for free to all owners of the original game.
Players will be able to discover how the Undercity came to be, meet a new hero—the Forsaken paladin—and test out the improved map editor:
Forsaken Kingdom is a brand-new game campaign that will take you to the final days of Lordaeron and introduce you to the Undercity before it became known to millions. Play the most complete version of Warcraft III: Reforged with the Definitive Edition update, which improves graphics and increases game performance.
The Forsaken Kingdom expansion for Warcraft III: Reforged is already on sale, and a game-plus-DLC bundle is available for new players.

Coincidentally, an improved version of a fan-made Sylvanas campaign was presented earlier this year for Warcraft III.
