Blizzard Details New Gameplay Approach for World of Warcraft Forever
Players can now pre-order one of the available editions.
At the September BlizzCon 2026 event, developers showcased gameplay for World of Warcraft: Forever. The project is positioned as a “new way” to play WoW, functioning essentially as an expanded version of the game.
Developers will invite players to embark on a journey “in a familiar yet new game.” They will rework classes, update game systems, bring visual improvements to the world, and refine the gameplay.
Blizzard Entertainment has already opened pre-orders, offering the Sky-Born Heroic Pack for $30 and the Sky-Born Epic Pack for $60.
For $80, players can purchase the Warcraft Forever Collection bundle, which includes the contents of the epic pack along with access to Warcraft III: Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom, featuring both the base strategy game and a fresh expansion with a new campaign.
All World of Warcraft: Forever bundles will include:
- Sky-Born race plus the Zethris Isle starting experience
- Azure Pride-Claw ground mount
- Shen’drayr Sky-Seer’s Attire transmog set
- Seasoned Adventurer’s Backpack back attachment
- Shen’drayr Wind-Well toy
- Sky-Born-themed housing decor items
- Early name reservation in WoW: Forever
- Starter friend invite code
Expanded bundles will include additional bonuses such as 30 days of game time, tabards, pets, transmog sets, mounts, and more.

Beta testing for World of Warcraft: Forever is planned to launch on September 17, and the release is expected on November 5, 2026.
