During a developers’ livestream, viewers gained a closer look at the specifications of the flagship handheld Ayaneo NEXT 2 and watched the team play a variety of titles on the device.

During a special live broadcast, Ayaneo’s CEO Arthur Zhang walked viewers through the NEXT 2 — a next-generation flagship portable console.

The newcomer runs Windows 11 with AYASpace and sports a 9.06-inch OLED panel with a 2400×1504 resolution, a PWM frequency of 5280 Hz, up to 1100 nits peak brightness, and selectable refresh rates of 60 / 90 / 120 / 144 / 165 Hz.

The system is built around an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with an RDNA 3.5 Radeon 8060S GPU, a dual-fan cooling solution, an integrated 115 Wh battery, at least 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and onboard Gen4 NVMe SSD storage starting at 1 TB.

The device also features premium Hall-effect thumbsticks and triggers, a two-stage trigger lock, a floating 8-position D-pad, dual smart touchpads dubbed “TouchTAPMagic”, four ergonomic rear buttons, four programmable buttons, a magnetic-levitation haptic motor, and front-facing stereo speakers.

Additionally, during the stream Arthur and his assistant demoed Black Myth: Wukong, Forza Horizon 5, and Cyberpunk 2077 on the Ayaneo NEXT 2. When the device will be released, how much it will cost, and when pre-orders will open remain unknown for now.

Judging by online comments, some people believe the Ayaneo NEXT 2 will be relatively heavy and estimate its price to be in the range of 150,000–160,000 RUB.
