Black Lives Matter

You will little question remember that protests, marked by a violent police response, are ongoing in America. These protests had been sparked by the dying of George Floyd, who was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd’s neck for nearly 9 minutes. Today you will notice many individuals, web sites and people, collaborating in what’s being referred to as Blackout Tuesday. By not posting on social media, it clears the best way for Black voices, significantly of the Black neighborhood within the US, to discuss the systemic racism and police brutality that they endure.

We shall be collaborating on this social media blackout for 24 hours from 2pm BST in the present day, and have joined in a joint assertion of solidarity from all of the web sites throughout our community. We’re going to spend the time enjoying and writing about games by BAME builders and creators, and people posts will seem within the subsequent 24 hours and past.

We know we haven’t achieved practically sufficient to amplify Black voices or assist numerous folks into this business. We are engaged on issues to vary that. But now isn’t the time for an extended and empty mea culpa. We encourage you to donate to organisations fighting racism and police violence.
