The film “One Battle After Another” from Paul Thomas Anderson has officially surpassed $200 million in global box office receipts, according to reports.
The picture has taken in $70.1 million in the U.S. and $130.1 million across international markets. Its production budget was estimated at $130–175 million. This week the film also surfaced online.
“One Battle After Another” draws partly on Thomas Pynchon’s novel “Vineland.” The story follows former radical activist Bob Ferguson (Leonardo DiCaprio), who must rescue his daughter from his long-time adversary, Colonel Lockjo (Sean Penn).
Critics have hailed the release (94% on Rotten Tomatoes).
