Baldur’s Gate 3 creator impressed by “army of immortal children” — Swen Vincke praised a female fan’s use of the game’s mechanics

Players are uncovering some of the most surprising combinations of game mechanics.

Recently a Baldur’s Gate 3 fan known as Morgana Evelyn showcased an unconventional melding of the game’s mechanics.

She assembled an “army of immortal children”: first she polymorphed a child into a sheep to seize control with magic, then placed the controlled character into camp.

The result becomes a “child companion.” Since the game flags children as protected in certain regions, that protection appears to carry over to the companion as well.

Woven into the discussion, Baldur’s Gate 3 creator Swen Vincke chimed in — admitting he regretted not having invited Morgana Evelyn to the presentation:

I take my hat off to you, Morgana Evelyn. You absolutely should have been invited to join the “Panel from Hell.”
