Avatar: Seven Havens Officially Recasts Korra’s Voice Actor
Korra is one of the most important characters in Avatar: Seven Havens, even though she is long dead when the show begins. The series suggests so far that Korra’s actions caused the post-apocalyptic world in which it takes place. As a result, many people hate the Avatar. That hatred creates plenty of trouble for Nisha and Pavi, the new Avatar twins. The latest batch of episodes brought viewers closer to Korra again and revealed who voices her in Seven Havens.
In a flashback, Korra destroys Republic City and throws the world into chaos, an event called the cataclysm. The former Avatar lets out angry screams and grunts during the scene. Someone had to perform those sounds, and episode 7, “What Lies Beneath,” has a credit for Korra. It shows that Cia Court is the new voice of Korra.
Court is best known for playing Vi in League of Legends and Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail. She takes over from Janet Varney, the original voice of Korra. Earlier this year, Jacqueline Grace Lopez also voiced the character in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.
Is Korra really evil in Avatar: Seven Havens?
Court has not yet delivered any spoken dialogue as Korra, but the show seems likely to give her more to say. Learning what really happened during the cataclysm, and why Korra appears to have gone mad, is central to the story. A journey to Republic Forest, a lost haven that seems to stand where Republic City once did, moves Seven Havens closer to those answers.

Seven Havens keeps subverting expectations, and it looks like the show has no single big bad villain. Each episode presents every person and group as complicated and trying to survive as best they can. Naturally, that means many of them make mistakes. Korra may be one of those people. But the full reason the cataclysm began is still unknown, so it feels premature to call her as evil as the world believes.
The show’s creators have even suggested that fans should wait until they have seen the whole series. The last four episodes are set for release on Oct. 20, so the full picture is close.
