Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Shadows for Switch 2, Shares Fall Roadmap

Assassin's Creed Shadows — Naoe and Yasuke in combat
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 with all recent updates and features.

Ubisoft has published its autumn roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows and confirmed a much-rumored Switch 2 port. The game — following the intertwined journeys of Naoe and Yasuke — is scheduled to launch on Nintendo’s console on December 2, 2025.

The Switch 2 release will include every update and complimentary content drop issued to date. The paid narrative expansion, Claws of Awaji, is slated for release next year. On the handheld console, menus such as the world map, store, and hideout will support touch controls. The port also supports cross-progression through Ubisoft Connect, so players can carry progress between platforms.

Looking at the patch schedule, Title Update 10 landed on October 28, 2025, and delivered a second round of parkour improvements plus a new Animus-themed activity named “Corrupted Castles.” This activity raises the challenge level, introduces tougher foes, and increases the rewards players earn for conquering castles.

On November 25, 2025, Ubisoft will release the third story episode, titled “A Puzzlement.” The team describes this chapter as lighter in tone — evoking a playful vibe similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey — and it adds an environmental puzzle sequence. The drop also mixes the protagonists’ move sets: Naoe gains access to Yasuke’s war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns.
