Armored Core VI Gets Surprise Steam Update — Players Await News at The Game Awards
Observant users noticed activity on Steam and are now hoping for an imminent DLC announcement.
Despite strong reviews and a steady online player base, the mecha action title Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon has not received content updates since its 2023 release. That’s why unexpected edits to the game’s SteamDB page ignited a surge of excitement within the community. With The Game Awards drawing near, fans found the timing suspiciously convenient — and are now anticipating a DLC or other substantial content reveal.
FromSoftware itself has remained tight-lipped. The studio is currently prioritizing development for Elden Ring: Nightreign — which recently received the The Forsaken Hollows expansion featuring new bosses, areas and classes — and is also engaged in several other projects.
Whether Armored Core VI fans’ expectations will be met will become clear very soon: The Game Awards 2025 are scheduled for the night of December 11–12.
