Arc Raiders update stops players being shot through walls, but they want Embark to fix an expedition progression bug

Embark Studios has released a new Arc Raiders update that addresses an out‑of‑bounds exploit and several other irritating glitches. While those fixes are welcome, many players remain frustrated that a progression issue is still unresolved.

The patch removes the problematic zipline on Stella Noctis that allowed players to glitch beyond the map. It also fixes a method that could cause players to fall through a wall on Blue Gate and resolves instances where players were being shot through walls in the Spaceport Launch Tower. Full patch notes are available on Steam.

Several reports describe players plateauing at the same stage repeatedly. “They still didn’t fix the expedition progression stuck bug. It’s been in the game since launch,” a different Redditor complained, adding that they’re stalled at stage two on The Spaceport.

Embark’s patch notes say a larger “Cold Snap” update is scheduled for December 17, which the studio says will include many additional fixes and new content: “We are getting ready for the much larger Cold Snap update coming on Tuesday and it will bring many different fixes we have been working on along with all the new goodies.”

Hopefully that update restores normal progression for everyone. In the meantime, at least players won’t be getting shot through solid geometry.

Arc Raiders’ developers once hoped to create “boss fights in that same arena of Dark Souls, Monster Hunter,” but found the Arc’s behavior too unpredictable to support that vision.
