Anime Psychic Cop Chojo Gets Release Date and New Poster
Arvo Animation is adapting Shun Numa’s comedy manga.
The anime Super Psychic Policeman Chojo will premiere on October 6. The official project Twitter/X account confirmed the release date.
The anime takes place in West Shinjuku, a fictionalized version of Tokyo’s Shinjuku ward. New police recruit Nao Ippongi is partnered with Meguru Chojo, who possesses telepathy and other psychic abilities. The only problem is that Chojo prefers to use his powers for anything other than solving crimes. However, after yakuza threaten Ippongi’s family dojo, the lazy psychic finally starts taking the job seriously. Together, the heroes investigate crimes, catch lawbreakers, and try to cope with everyday police life.

The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Shun Numa, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2024 to June 2025. The story spans 65 chapters collected into eight volumes.
Arvo Animation is handling production. Junichi Yamamoto, who worked on Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, is directing. Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black) is writing the screenplay, and Masakatsu Sasaki (16bit Sensation: Another Layer) is designing the characters.
